Travel Obsession - Wandering With A Purpose

I’ve been obsessed with travel my entire life. My 6^th grade geography project was to plan a trip to Europe including flights, budget, hotels and a full sightseeing itinerary. From that moment I was hooked and I’ve been planning and traveling to destinations near and far for over 30 years.

I’m a 40 something wife, mom of 3, dog mom of 2 and a full time employee. I love to travel but I also have the same busy schedule and all of the responsibilities that keep most people from following their travel dreams. I am in the middle of life… way past the pre-kid days with the freedom to go when and where I want but I’m not old enough to take advantage of the flexible and slower paced life of a retiree.

I plan my travel around my job, my husband’s job, my kids’ school breaks and even around the availability of a pet sitter. I’ve found out what works and what doesn’t when it comes to making travel a regular part of my life. I’ve even learned some creative ways to travel when money and time are tight, to explore my local area and to enjoy and appreciate my home base.
